Dr. Bundrick is native to the Shreveport area. He attended Byrd High School and then went on to earn a bachelors degree in biological engineering from LSU in Baton Rouge. He then came home to Shreveport to complete medical school and a 4 year ophthalmology residency at LSU Health Sciences Center During medical school, Dr. Bundrick was amazed at the impact cataract and refractive surgery can have on a patient’s life and this made the decision to pursue ophthalmology an easy one for him. He is specifically interested in refractive cataract surgery tailored to each individual’s unique lifestyle, and he enjoys getting to know each of his surgical patients and putting together a specific plan for their vision.

Surgery is performed at Red River Surgery Center which is just around the corner from his clinic office in Ashley Ridge Business Park off of Line Avenue in south Shreveport. Red River Surgery Center is one of the few venues in this area that has access to all of the latest and top of the line technologies in modern day cataract surgery including the LenSx femtosecond laser and the ORA intraoperative aberommeter to ensure surgical success on even the most complex eyes!
Dr. Bundrick also performs cosmetic and functional eyelid surgery and manages comprehensive ophthalmology problems including glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes and dry eye syndrome. Dr. Bundrick and his wife, Paige Bundrick, MD (Ear, Nose & Throat/Facial Plastic Surgery) have a son named Claude. Dr. Bundrick enjoys spending time with his family and still participates in activities on their family farm south of Shreveport. He is an avid hunter and wildlife manager and loves being outdoors.
Dr. Bundrick attends several meetings per year to stay up to date with rapidly evolving and progressive techniques of eye surgery. He offers the most current and state of the art technology available to his patients to ensure great outcomes. Dr. Bundrick was the first surgeon in the state of Louisiana to implant an Active Focus +2.5 toric lens. Prior to this there were no options for patients with higher levels of astigmatism that wanted to reduce their need for glasses. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Refractive Surgery Alliance.
